Chaga Tea Recipe With Natural Chaga™ Chunks

Chaga Iced Tea

Chaga Tea Made With Natural Chaga™ Chunks

Instructions to make one litre of chaga tea:

  1. Add one litre of water to a saucepan or cooking pot
  2. Put several Natural Chaga™ chunks in the water and heat until very hot but not boiling (50/60℃)
  3. Simmer for as long as you like. Anywhere between 30 minutes and 6 hours depending on the strength of tea you want. Let your taste buds decide which strength you prefer.
  4. You could also try adding a sweetener like honey, syrup or cream.

Some people suggest “cooking the chaga” for a few hours then freezing the tea and then cooking again. It is claimed this can make more of chaga’s nutritious ingredients bio-available. We prefer to use the old ways to make chaga tea. There were no freezers hundreds of years ago! Although maybe in the colder climates of Estonia, Canada and Russia, during the winter, the chaga tea froze between uses anyway and was reheated when needed?

Making chaga tea with raw wild Natural Chaga chunks is very satisfying but it’s not as quick and easy as using Natural Chaga powder options.
