Choco Hemp Chaga Bites
MAKES: 8-10 servings
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
READY IN: 30 minutes
USES: Instant Chaga
Did you know that hemp seeds contain almost as much protein as soybeans? They're also rich in fiber, arganine, and an array of vitamins and minerals. Simply put, they're good stuff—with a nutty taste that goes well with chaga and chocolate.
INGREDIENTS
1 to 1 and 1/2 cups packed pitted dates
2 cups pecans
6 tablespoons raw cacao powder
5-6 tablespoons hemp seeds
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoons of Instant Chaga
3 tablespoons creamy almond butter or sunflower seed butter
1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (optional)
METHOD
1. Blend the dates next until finely ground. Take out the dates and blend the pecans. Lastly, take out the pecans and blend 3-4 tablespoons of hemp seeds. Reserve the rest of the hemp seeds for the last step.
2. Put the dates and pecans back in the blender and add your instant chaga, cacao powder, butter of choice, sea salt, and coconut oil. Blend the mixture until it turns dough-like.
3. Place the dough into a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 10-20 minutes.
4. Take out the dough. Shape it into bite-sized pieces and roll them on hemp seeds. You may also roll them on shaved coconut, chocolate sprinkles, or chocolate powder.
